    Brought new life to an extremely old laptop from 2006

    TLDR: New processor on an old laptop from 2006 beat other newer laptops in terms of performance. I'm looking at you, HP Stream models. I was originally gunning for the Core 2 Duo T7600, but that cost me an arm and a leg in time and shipping. This laptop was to be sent to an extremely rural, mountainous part of the Philippines and tech support is out of the question--a trip to the nearest PC repair shop in the city would take a day's worth of hiking through mountainous terrain. This processor was installed in a Toshiba (now Sharp Dynabook) Portege m400 convertible laptop, along with maxed out specs. Upgraded RAM to 4GB DDR2, a 128GB Sandisk SSD, and reconditioned battery cells, as well as installation of Windows 10 Home and office/productivity software. Latest BIOS and firmware updates ...

    Easy Upgrade to say the Least.

    I bought three of these for my Lenovo 14" T60 laptops. Like one review stated, this is an easy upgrade especially if you want to go to the 64 bit operating systems. I installed one in a T60 which had a T2400 1.8 Gh dual core, 32 bit CPU and now I'm running the T7200 which is of course 2 Gh 64 bit CPU. Once you change to a 64 bit operating system you go from 3GB's of RAM to 4 GB's of RAM which is an improvement. Along with this upgrade I added Windows 8.1, 64 bit on a 120GB OWC SSD. I'm quite impressed with the speed, 36 second start up and the screen on these T60's is remarkable, very bright and the color is great, the best I've ever seen on any laptops. The price was right on these CPU's and the vendor got them to me in no time at all.

    Excellent Price vs Performance

    Why I purchased it: *2Ghz clock speed with 4MB Cache *64 Bit OS ready *Dual Core *Second fastest Processor in its class and 200$ cheaper *I needed a true dual core I heavily use 3D applications (modeling, animation, rendering) that benefit from multi-core processors and game heavily . *Games I can play all the new games with no issues. Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Left For Dead 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2. The games look and play comparably to my Intel Quad Core with a Geforce GTX 260 Video card. Smooth Frame rates, good detail which I am very particular about.(note my laptop has a dedicated video card see specifications) * 3D applications I also heavily use 3D applications with very good render times.     mac mini core solo upgrade to core 2 duo etc.

    CPU Works great in mac mini core solo upgrade. Four meg cache is king. Yes, there is a slightly faster models (2.33), but for the price I was very happy. Very noticeable improvement of the mac in general. Internet videos play almost perfect. General use of internet, eBay, etc (nothing heavy duty.) functions fine. Much faster than my 2ghz laptop and windows7. Both have 2 GB ram. Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2 GHz in mac with 667 fsb. Not sure of laptop pc 2ghz cpu model. Well worth the upgrade and not terribly hard to do. This cpu has the pins on the bottom so be careful buying and installing. General guide for mac upgrade...     T7200 breath new life

    This processor have been great. It allow me to move up to the 64bit OS with a slight bump up in speed processing the newer office 2019 program. I can the difference in the boot up time and apps load up time and now on to getting a ssd for my old laptop. I will be able to use it for many years to come.
