About this product

Product Information

Large-scale multiplayer warfare comes to consoles as Digital Illusions' Battlefield series brings Modern Combat to Xbox. The series is known for its fast-paced competitive warfare, and as many as 100 Xbox Live-connected players can fight together online, across battle maps that scale to the number of human participants. Battlefield 2 also features a single-player mode, which fills the levels with artificially intelligent 'bots, both enemy and friendly. As in the PC sequel on which the console versions are based, the game's fictional war is set in the modern era, so players have access to cutting-edge military equipment, including more than 70 types of weapons and 30 different vehicles to move them across land, air, and sea. Players can choose to fight for the United States, the Chinese, or the "Middle East Coalition," and through repeated victories and outstanding achievement in the field, they'll work their way up the ranks, all the way from Private to General.

  • BF2 BF2MC, yet the fun is =

Though not even close to Battlefield 2 (PC), Battlefield 2 Modern Combat is a great console game. Almost feels like Halo with all the tanks and jeeps, but the helicopters are a nice touch. Straight forward rock paper scissors game type with 5 classes which each has somethign special about them. Snipers can GPS and allocate enemies for the WHOLE team and use laser guided rockets(motar?) to destroy armour, Support can call in motar strikes and heal, and much more. There is no 'commander mode' as in the PC game but there are 'Satalite Uplink' site which make bring down hell via artillary very much so possible. This game is totally diffrent than BF2 (PC). I own both, and they're both great, in my opinion atleast. The single player campaign is quite chalenging, and with an actual story line and ...

  • Best warfare game of its type - poor single player

This is the best game I've played to date on XBox Live, and I LOVED Halo 2 until the players ruined it with rampant modding and cheating. With up to 24 players in the game at a time, the action in Battlefield 2 is non-stop. Very different from Halo, Battlefield 2 is much more realistic. In the multiplayer mode, you select first to either be a Friendly (U.S.) troop or an Enemy (China, Russia, etc) troop. You then select from 5 different troop types, or "Kits". There is an Assault troop, a Special Ops troop, a Sniper, an Engineer, or a Support troop. They all have different abilites, use different weapons, and really must be used for what they are intended or you won't make it very long. You can't rush a building with a sniper (no-scopes are hard to come by) and you won't pick an ...

  • Great Game, Great Price!

I bought this game upon the suggestion of some of the people I was currently playing Project Gotham Racing 2 with; they were constantly telling me how much fun it is. I finally broke down and got it, and started playing the game campaign. It was a bit dificult at first, as I am not used to playing 1st person shooters on XBox, but once I figured things out a bit, it was pretty easy. Then I started playing the online version, and kinda gave up on the campaign. Online is a lot of fun, since you are playing against other actual people, not AIs. The only downside to this, like a few other games, is that there are people that cheat.. using the glitches and stuff like that, and team killing so they don't rank up, that and the fact that EA's servers suck, constantly lagging out of games gets a ...

  • Great battleground experience.Awesome product with great value .

one of the best combat games in Xbox original versions.A stepwise plan game like taking you to the real war zones with personal involvement and requiring aptitude testing and laertness with timely decision making on the ground in war zones. The product is great value product for people with limited budget and great educational tool. There maybe found some very limited lack of continuity in the steps but is totally ignorable.
