Bulletstorm is a futuristic first-person shooter with larger-than-life weaponry and arcade-paced combat. Encouraging risky maneuvers and highly chaotic battles, the game's "Skillshot" feature rewards exceptionally precise, destructive, and creative hits with experience points, which are used to purchase character upgrades and unlock powerful weapons. The single-player storyline develops through high-adventure missions set in a dangerous, abandoned paradise. "Echo" mode tracks players' performances in sequences from the single-player campaign. Multiplayer combat is available in "Anarchy" mode.<br><br>The game's story involves an exclusive confederation of the wealthy and influential, fiercely protected by a troop of elite mercenaries known as Dead Echo. One of the best 5 dollars I have ever spent.
The game was a bit better than I thought it would be. I did have a problem getting the game to work, as windows live gave me some issues, but once I got it going it was a lot of fun.

Killin just got fun again.
This is gears of war on speed with no reguard for life. In fact you get rewarded for killing in diffrent ways. it is a fun fast paced shooter that takes a comical yet bloody twist to anything else out there.i hear alot of folks calling it a sort of seroius sam shooter. However it is a pretty involved shooter that will make you use some skill unlike serious sam where wave after wave of mindless creatures are flung at you.The A.I. is really fun too they stay hidden for the most part making you hunt them more than just spray n pray. The reason i mentioned gears of war is because it has that same feel. the kinda over the shoulder cam with a bouncy screen.The faster you run the more the screen seems to bounce around. The weapons also seemed to have that gears of war feel as well.The main gun is ... This is gears of war on speed with no reguard for life. I love the whip weapon they give to you because it allows you to litteraly pull an enemy out of hiding and pull off a pretty sick skill shot.I think one of the wierdest skill shots i made had to be the rear entry shot..HUH? ya it is exactly what it sounds like. A bullet in thee ol balloon knot. If you are tired of the mundane shooters out there and like me could not stand shooting another tali ban or wwII person then definatly check out the game. I found it at half cost on e-bay at best lie it was like $60.00 i have not played multi player so i could not make any mention of game play but .. I will tell this, if you get it you will play it all the way through..

Dissapointed in general
I really enjoyed the Painkiller series (main game + Battle Out of Hell expansion), and since this game is from the same developer, I thought it would be a good purchase. I've also read some reviews stating that the game was a lot of fun, despite selling not so well. Unfortunately, I'm dissapointed whith what I got. The PC version is a poor port of the console one, and uses the Games For Windows as DRM. I've had a lot of issues whith that, since its updates required the game to be rebooted and it was impossible to do that besides killing it in Task Manager. Also, while having pretty graphics, the game focuses on the incresingly nowadays trend of rewarding extreme violence. You earn points for killing your enemies in diferentes ways (often with the most prejudice possible), and your ... While I undestand that a lot of folks like this way (probably the ones with ten years old or less), this was a huge let down for me. Violence in itself is not really my idea of fun and I wish the game didn't depend so much on this mechanics to work. Overall, I cannot recommed this game and hope that People Can Fly can make it better the next time. I still don't know exactly why it didn't sell well, since games with the same focus on brutality have been doing fine (Dead Space coming to mind). In this case, though, I guess there was some kind of divine justice working after all...: )
