      Love the Ratchet motion, it is so easy!

      The Ratchet makes this so easy to use, more so than a test grinder. Product of the year in kitchen tools in 2015, now so hard to find, I was happy to find it on eBay!

      Works fine

      So far so good. I've only used it for about a month but hopefully it lasts. I guess it grinds a little faster than a conventional pepper grinder. You have to be careful to hold the bottom steady so pepper doesn't go places you don't want it to--like the counter. The pepper mill I had previously had a crank and ground faster. It is made mostly of plastic so I'm guessing it won't last more than 5-10 years.

      Works great but falls apart

      This is my second grinder of the same model. The entire mechanism broke and fell out of the bottom after about three years on the first one. I like the action to grind, the high rate of grinding per stroke and the ease of filling. That is why I purchased another one.

      Great grinder for those with compromised hands!!

      My wife can no longer easily use a 'circular' grinder but this one uses a side-to-side ratchet mechanism to grind peppercorns. Ours broke after a number of years and we ordered one to replace it. Also have a white one for course sea salt.

      Modern and perfect size

      I was gifted with one of these and loved it for fresh pepper on everything. It stayed in summer home and I bought another for winter home, then bought another one for a friend who enjoys fresh pepper. It handles with ease, easy load, never a mess, always right there, never has clogged, grinds to perfection....and I use it everyday with fresh peppercorns. It is much better than standard grinder that grocery stores sell. Definitely worth the price!
