I ordered this vintage ET stuffed toy for my son’s birthday. He had one back in 1982 and through the years it was lost in moves. He was moved to tears when he opened the package and discovered it. It was in very good condition as stated by the seller. Thank you for making my grown son’s day by delivering as advertised item! I would definitely buy from this seller again. Also it was delivered early which was another positive experience.

    Big Stone Gap

I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did! It was a book club selection which everyone in my group loved. The characters were all compelling, eccentric, mostly-Appalachian personalities with whom we all identified. The setting is primarily rural southwest Virginia but there is an international element too. The storyline held my interest and I didn't find the plot at all predictable. There were no "loose threads" at the end so Big Stone Gap can be read as a stand-alone-novel although it was interesting enough that I want to read the rest of the series. Book club questions are included at the end.

  • Excellent book....a must read!

A very good book that holds your attention and one that most anyone can identify with. Book one of a four book series. I have read all four and enjoyed each one. Book one has been made into a movie and I can't wait to see it. Wonderful down to earth characters!

  • Big Stone Gap

I was introduced to this series and author through a local bookclub. I was not sure I would like Big Stone Gap, but after the first page, I was hooked. Adriana is a wonderful writer who lets a reader know the characters and have a sense of place. She has definitely "found her voice" as a writer.

This is the most fantastic book! Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. It will make you laugh and cry from the very beginning to the end. It is a very heartwarming story about a human struggle and involvement with people that are the salt of the earth. I think it is a must read for everybody. You will gain an insight of the people who work to live each and every day of their lives as they are bound together. I bought the second copy to give to a friend. Ted G.
