    I'm glad I read it, I just wish I'd have been forewarned.

    Let me first say that I'm glad I read this book. It was worth the three weeks it took to process its contents. I work with teens with autism so I understand where the author is coming from. However, this book is VERY difficult to read as every sentence is a run-on, the sentences within paragraphs do not often form cohesive thoughts, the direct of the author's thought processes is mind-numbingly uncertain, and her language borders on abusive toward the reader. Perhaps that is her way of expressing the torture that her life has been (which was actually a valuable and apt description of profound autism) but it leaves the reader confused and even frustrated.
