Another nice look into the past.
'Shards' is a good way to describe it, I'd say. They are like pieces of what turned into real gems, with a few gems on their own merits mixed in. There are a lot of recognizable riffs and melodies on the album that he later expanded on with other projects. It was really fun hearing them! This is [one of] the kind[s] of album[s] I was hoping he would release someday. I just didn't expect it to be these tracks from the 'Young Buckethead' days, which is really nice. I really like that even though it's purely acoustic, it's still unmistakeably Buckethead. All the quirks and tricks are fully present and accounted for. ANOTHER GREAT CD, BUCKETHEAD RIPS!!
The first few spins of this cd I was blown away. I love how it sounds, all acoustic. I love how it flows. I love that is is basically mellow but has hints of heavyness. It would not be one of the first cds I would play for a new fan but more seasoned fan can appreciate how Buckethead can play so many different styles of music flawlessly. It is also great to hear something from the earlier days of Buckethead and compare how his sound has remained constant yet changing into what he is doing today. I still prefer his more rockin' and shreddin' stuff but when you want to mellow out or play something when your grandparents come over, this is the cd!The first few spins of this cd I was blown away. great title
This is a good cd. I liked that you were able to hear bucketheads talents clearly without effects or distortion. The only downfall to this cd is some of the songs weren't put together that well and it sounds like he is just playing to play. It is cool to hear him when he was just starting out. Overall this is a good cd but not his best.

excellent cd, plays well, and buckethead is a fantastic guitar player. You should really give it a go, as it is worth it....
