In this action-packed space adventure anime, young Tadashi thought he had a good life on the Planet of the Rubbish Heap, but one day all that changed. When Tadashi finds his father dead, with four undead corpses hovering about, he thinks he won't survive. Just as the corpses attack, however, the fearless space pirate Captain Herlock arrives to save the day. In addition to saving his life, Herlock invites Tadashi to join his space battleship crew and pursue the cryptic enemy that threatens Earth. In this edition, the Fata Morgana cannot refresh itself because of Yattaran's invention--a terrible situation, as the planet Neo-Terra then attacks the Arcadia. With the fate of the ship hanging in the balance, Herlock evacuates the crew and chases the Noo on his own!
