About this product

Product Information

When we first meet him, Michael Oher is one of thirteen children by a mother addicted to crack; he does not know his real name, his father, his birthday, or how to read or write. He takes up football, and school, after a rich, white, Evangelical family plucks him from the streets. Then two great forces alter Oher: the family's love and the evolution of professional football itself into a game where the quarterback must be protected at any cost. Our protagonist becomes the priceless package of size, speed, and agility necessary to guard the quarterback's greatest vulnerability, his blind side.

I ordered 2 books from this seller; this one was exactly as described and in good condition. The other is even better, but covered in other feedback. I would say that this seller's books are in better condition than other online used bookstores for the same price. The books were well wrapped, again better than other online used bookstores. Shipping was free which is always a plus. The books came quickly considering sometimes roads are closed due to high winds here. Very happy with purchase!

  • *** AWESOME STORY - INSPIRATIONAL - MUST READ! ***

The Blind Side is an AWESOME STORY! A very inspirational TRUE STORY based on a kid left to live on the streets with nothing his whole life, not even as much as ever having a bed, that is taken in by a good samaritan and offered a life-changing chance at life. Its tough to accept the many new changes, but this young man does it and in the end makes it into the NFL. This story will be a tear-jerker for many. It is absolutely an EXCELLENT STORY! A MUST OWN! Here are some Movie Details about the story that just came out on DVD(April 2010): THE ROOKIE director John Lee Hancock brings another inspirational, true story to the screen with this football drama. Young Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) has lived a difficult life on the streets, but his luck changes when a rich couple (played by Sandra ...

  • michael lewis is awesome

narrative journalism at its best. why is ebay forcing me to write this review? it won't let me go. here are some more words, ebay. is that good enough for you? this book is a fast read but a story that any one, especially but not exclusively football fans, will enjoy.

  • it was in great shape when i got it

why i decided to buy it is because i drive a truck and while i am driving i can listen to the story...i don't have time to sit and read..it gives me something to do while i drive.

  • moving book but slightly confusing

The plot was very intriguing and moving. I loved reading the story about Oher but the part about Lawrence Taylor can be confusing if you are not a football fan. I recommend this book

  • The Blind Side

After seeing the most excellent movie on DVD, I had to read the book to see how closely the movie followed the book. The book does have a number of details that were not in the movie but the movie closely follows the book and is excellent. I enjoyed both in their own way.
