    Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks

    As this genre is very much like The Lord of the Rings, I was sure my grandson would enjoy it. It was written many years before the aforementioned book and was the first book of it's kind to be #1 on the best seller lists. It is the first of a trilogy and I also purchased the second book for him. He hasn't started them yet but I am sure he will thoroughly enjoy them. I know I did when I purchases mine back in 1977!

    Good Read!

    Kind of long and drawn out. It is however a good read none the less. This novel will take you through some pretty amazing adventures. Lots of twists and turns. The plot moves along at a steady pace but eventaully winds itself out to an almost sufferable ending. This novel will definately satisfy your sci-fi/fantasy thirst. It helps to read this one first as it is the first book of a truly amazing trilogy. The Elf Stones of Shannara is probably the best one out of them all.
