A great example in learning how to honor God with faith and responsibility!
As a Christian, I have found that most Christians either lack faith or lack in responsibility when it comes to their finances. I heard of this book and knew that I needed to read it. I believe that George Muller is an inspiration and an example as to how to balance faith with human responsibility regarding money. He relied on God for all of his needs yet was a faithful steward with all he received and asked for God's wisdom in how to handle what was given to him. He never spent more than he had and did not believe in debt. He gave to those in need. He never pursued a costly endeavor without first seeking God's counsel and receiving confirmation. I believe that all of us can learn from his example in learning how God would have us handle the money that we've been entrusted with. And for ... Faithful life
My husband, who passed away in 2006, read this book. He loved George Muller. He was always talking about how faithful the man was. George Muller believed his and his ministry's sustaining funds, would be provided for by God. He prayed to that end, and just believed God. As a result he was able to provide for 1000 orphans in Bristol England in the 1800s. I wanted to read the story. I am so glad I did. Faith works. Even when it makes no sense to us, it works. Believe God. My husband, another George, was right. The story of Muller is inspiring. I want to live my life in faith. Faith certainly is a better alternative to fear, don't you think? The book itself is a lovely little paperback. My copy was nearly brand new-certainly appeared that way, even though it was printed in 1984! I read many ... George Muller was a man of trusting in God for all his needs
I didn't know anything about George Muller, but a friend suggested I read about his faith. The story line is compelling. The only drawback is it was originally his journal, so it's a bit choppy in reading. I am in awe of how George Muller lived totally by faith
