    Excellent Old Maine Cookbook!

    Good easy recipes from authoritative author. Avoid later editions with expanded recipes... not true to this edition.

    A great cookbook for your collection

    This cookbook is a must have for all native born New Englanders and all cooks who like great recipes . This wonderful little book was brought to my attention by a fellow New Englander and cook . I have a list of dessert recipes from the book I plan to use at the restuarant I work for . The recipes are written with clear directions and there are great informational tidbits scattered thru out the cookbook . I rate this cookbook right up there with Fannie Farmer's books , our family considered Fannie's recipes to be gospel .

    This cookbook includes a lot of forgotten recipes and techniques. One can literally read it as a novel; that is how interesting the recipes are.

    Many simple but time honored recipes that always turn out right! Bought it for the baked bean recipe and then found so many more good recipes that I bought the book again and again for my children. Dont miss this one! A great book for newlyweds also!
