About this product

Product Information

"Well, I didn't ask to be a pigeon ... I wanted to be an eagle, didn't I'... Why couldn't we have been eagles instead of pigeons? What a life Nothing but cooo, cooo and peck, peck, all the time.... "This is the High Street not the Highlands We're not here to cause a sensation, and ... if it weren't for your stupidity, we wouldn't be here in the first place " Stroppy pigeons in Edinburgh's Old Town. It's not a normal part of daily life--but things are never going to be the same again. Clara and Neil have always known the MacArthurs, the little people who live under Arthur's Seat, in Holyrood Park, but they are not quite prepared for what else is living under the hill. Feuding faery lords, missing whisky, magic carpets, firestones, and ancient spells ... where will it end? And how did it all start? Set against the backdrop of the Edinburgh Fringe and Military Tattoo, this is a fast-paced comic adventure, full of magic, mayhem and mystery--and a dragon. Books in the "Dragonfire" series: Dragonfire The Wings of Ruksh The Underground City Firestar Witch Silver Dragon Seeker

'For a debut novel, this is brilliant... The pace is fast moving, very readable and at times very funny... A well deserved addition to any school collection.' - School Librarian Journal '... a diverting read which, refreshingly, mocks the convention it's written in. Anne Forbes has a vivid imagination which she has put to good use.' - Carousel, 'For a debut novel, this is brilliant...The story, because of its location is very credible...The pace is fast moving, very readable and at times very funny. It is well researched and plausible, and could well be the first in a series with the same children and the MacArthurs having further adventures. A well deserved addition to any school collection, and a book that would be perfect for giving.'--Janette Perkins, School Librarian journal, Winter 2006'Set against a background of the Edinburgh Tattoo and the Festival Fringe it makes a diverting read which, refreshingly, mocks the convention it's written in. Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!
