About this product

Product Information

In The Food Sharing Revolution , Michael Carolan tells the stories of entrepreneurs who are bucking the corporate food system. They are farmers like Josh, a co-op dairyman who doesn't own his cows, but has a good income and a sense of autonomy. They are business owners like Dorothy, who opened her bakery with the help of a no-interest crowd-sourced loan. They are chefs like Camilla, who introduces diners to her native Colombian cuisine through peer-to-peer meal sharing. Each is making the most of the sharing economy, while avoiding the pitfalls of Uber and Airbnb. Their success is not only good for aspiring producers, but for everyone who wants a healthier, more sustainable, and more ethical way to eat.

The Food Sharing Revolution provides a personal and richly narrative account of farmers and small food business owners, which enables readers to connect broader food issues with the real-world struggles of people fighting for change., From co-owned dairy farms to high-end dinner party apps, Michael Carolan heads to the frontlines of the food sharing revolution. Along the way, he asks all the right questions about what the sharing of goods, services, and knowledge means for not only how we produce and consume food, but also how we coexist. A wise and timely book., Supported by national statistics and individual stories, Carolan's informative, anecdotal overview of a culinary revolution covers the sharing economy in fine detail , highlighting the demand for diverse food cultures, individual experiences, and a love for all that goes into the development of food sovereignty., The Food Sharing Revolution shines a spotlight on collaborations working to preserve human-scaled food and farm businesses in our communities. Through moving success stories, Carolan offers an alternative to the 'get big or get out' mentality plaguing the food industry. This book is inspiration for family farmers to avoid growing their acreage, their debt, and their backaches, and instead grow their relationships., ""Supported by national statistics and individual stories, Carolan's informative, anecdotal overview of a culinary revolution covers the sharing economy in fine detail , highlighting the demand for diverse food cultures, individual experiences, and a love for all that goes into the development of food sovereignty."" Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!
