  • Great price, plenty of stories, nothing particularly good.

Superman in the Seventies. Certainly there were many good, well written, well drawn Superman stories in the 70's. Unfortunately, this book doesn't contain any of them. What this book has are simplistic, adequately drawn Superman stories that read more like stories written in the early 60's than they do the better Superman stories from the 70's. In fact, a reader could be forgiven for assuming this WAS a collection of Superman stories from the 60's if not for the few stories from the late 70's that MENTION the year, and that feature Clark Kent as a TV reporter. If you're looking for a good Superman collection featuring stories from the 70's, this isn't the collection you're looking for. I don't know who compiled it, but whoever it was did a horrible job.
