About this product

Product Information

Created with historical accuracy in mind, Medal of Honor: Vanguard follows the story as told by the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army during WWII. Gamers will navigate their troops through a campaign that begins in Sicily and ends in Germany. As members of this squad, players begin their missions by selecting a drop point within the mission map. After jumping out of the plane, gamers can direct their parachute toward a selected point where the unit will land, and then regroup to head toward objectives such as discovering a German communications center. Vehicles, including Willy's Jeep, are available for transportation, or as combat vehicles if players have enemies on their tail. To keep the game as accurate as possible, developers have included upgrades such as the ability to add extra ammo capacity, shoulder holsters, and weapon slings. Players can also upgrade their weapons by filing down firing pins for faster firing rates, adding grips and pads for stability and accuracy, and taping extra ammo to guns for quicker reload times. The Wii edition of Medal of Honor: Vanguard uses a unique control scheme designed specifically for the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Received item in 1 day, extremely fast shipping. Packaging was very neat and jersey was nicely folded. Product description matches and only nitpick is there was a minor defect on the gray portion of the sleeve fortunately nothing too bad though. The defect wasn’t appearing in the photos of the post so I assume this happened during shipping. They had good communication leading up to purchase. I would recommend this seller and give 4.5/5 stars.

  • A nice addition to the MOH family

The good: Extremely great and cinematic music. Great graphics for an FPS Wii game. Great sound effects and graphical effects like explosions, smoke etc...Very fun and historically accurate levels. Real sense of urgency on harder difficulty modes. Real locations. The Bad: WAY too short (but fun), I completed this game in around 5 hours. Parachuting is a nice addition but you can't really do much with it. Soldiers use same phrases over and over and over. Storyline is too linear. The control scheme takes some getting used to. No detectable blood. Throwing grenades is almost useless, as they are hard to get them where you want them to go. No Cover system, only crouching and laying down. The UGLY: It is almost impossible to go from the laying down position to standing up using the nunchuck, ...

  • WWII First Person Shooter is a two fisted blast!

I liked playing Medal of Honor Heroes 2 and decided to try it's predecessor, Medal of Honor, Vanguard. The WWII battles are engaging, with nice graphics, good sound, explosions, and those darn Nazis trying to wipe you out. It takes two hands for combat with this game. The Zapper is not supported, so a slightly different skill set is needed to advance to the highest levels. For example, when the game begins, you are parachuting into enemy territory and must use the nunchuck to help control your descent. Try to do that with a zapper! Vanguard has been around for a while, and Heroes 2 is a little more polished, but the adrenaline gets pumping with either one.

  • Super fun game, but you better be coordinated!

I bought Medal of Honor Vanguard for my son. He loves the historical combat games and this one certainly delivered the realistic and historical gameplay we were looking for. Medal of Honor once again produces a worthwhile game. The only drawback is the motion controls. Excellent motor controls are required to play and are necessary once the hectic combat starts. Many times my son's game was over because he forgot how to reload his weapon or jump, both actions require odd movement of the controller. But other than that difficulty, the game is fun and fast paced. and

  • Medal of Honor Vanguard Wii

I was excited to receive the game as it is the first Ive tryed with a FPS in mind. Kinda depressed that it doesnt work with the zapper controler, and Ive tryed a few things but find the movment very odd. Going to use the wii control and nunchuck only and see if I can get into it better. Love the Medal of Honor games on the CPU, and am looking forward to more FPS for the Wii in the future.

  • MOH on the Wii

It's the same MOH that I loved with PS2 only the game is MUCH easier than the traditional MOH series. It is also MUCH shorter! I have played every MOH game made and this one is the worst. Sure, the graphics are great, the sounds are still cool, but it is not very challenging. You seldom get to use the MG42s against the enemy. Very predictable and easy. It's a nice game but not worth the retail price. I won mine in an auction and got it for half of what it costs in the stores PLUS I got an extra remote. Wait for the price to go down and pick up this game if you're a fan of MOH.
