"A masterwork by one of the great Elders of the Craft. Raymond Buckland has presented a treasure trove of Wiccan lore. It is a legacy that will provide magic, beauty, and wisdom to future generations of those who seek the ancient paths of the Old Religion."--Ed Fitch, author of Magical Rites from the Crystal Well "I read Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft with much pleasure. This book contains enough information and know-how for all approaches: the historical, the philosophical, and the pragmatic...quite entertaining, as much for the armchair enthusiast as for the practicing occultist."--Marion Zimmer Bradley, author of The Mists of Avalon "Never in the history of the Craft has a single book educated as many people, spurred as many spiritual paths, or conjured as much personal possibility as Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft. More than just a treasured classic, it is the one book that no seeker should ever be without!"--Dorothy Morrison, author of The Craft "This book was one of the first to guide me on the path of my Craft. Detailed yet non-threatening, educational yet fun --I spent hours pouring over this book in my early days and still refer to it now sometimes for a 'refresher'! I highly recommend this book as an important introduction to the Craft in this modern age."--Fiona Horne, author of Witch: A Magickal Journey "A huge work of excellent materials. Buckland has lifted the last thin veil about Witchcraft, releasing it back into the mainstream to be a folk religion as it used to be."--Z Budapest, author and activist "Based on Raymond Buckland's successful Seax-Wica Seminary course, this classic book is essential reading for all persons seriously interested in the art and religion of Witchcraft. The insight it provides is beneficial for solitaries and covens alike, making it well-deserving of a place in every Witch's personal library."--Gerina Dunwich, author of Wicca Craft and The Wicca Spell Book, "A masterwork by one of the great Elders of the Craft. I realllyyy love this book

The book has great information in it. Definitely has more content than the original but i highly suggest getting both books. This one has more illustrations and shows you in photo form rather than diagram how to do and make things.

    • The Number One Witchcraft Book For Beginners

Raymond Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft 2nd Edition: Review for eBay I purchased the first edition of this book (I'm reviewing the second edition here) about 20 years ago, and back then this was the number one book for beginning Witches. This 2nd edition book is even better then the 1st as it has nearly twice the information! It is based on the Seax Wicca Tradition (founded by Raymond Buckland) but it's a great, non-denominational, non-sectarian book on Witchcraft. Even if you study with a coven, this book is sure to enhance some aspect of your study. As a matter of fact, I would recommend this book to every style of Witch, even elders. The author is very knowledgeable, having written at least 20 other books on the Craft and various divination. This book is truly the "complete ...

    • Good Primer and Reference

"Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft" is a good primer for the beginner, and a good reference for the more advanced practitioner. The style is in a clear, concise manner, the set-up is ideal for learning individually or in group settings. Chapters are set up as Lessons with quizzes afterward. If applied, the student can get a good grasp of the basic teachings of the more popular modern Witchcraft traditions. Don't expect this, or any other book to answer all your questions or to teach you the "mysteries" of the Craft. Only reading widely, application, practice and discipline can do that over years. It is a good place to start, but it IS only one book. One book is not be begin-all and end-all. As Buckland says, take the information that works for you and start from there, and ...

    • Bucky's Big Blue Book

'Bucky's Big Blue Book' is an excellent beginning book. I give it this rating as compared to all of the books that are out there at present. Could it be better? Certainly. I do recommend that any aspiring Witch begin with this book. With this book you will establish a solid basic foundation in the Craft. However, although the books states that you will be, you will in no way be a 3rd Degree Witch. If you 'memorize' this book though (meaning that you really study it cover-to-cover, do all of the exercises, put the information into practice and live by those changes, not just read the book), you will know more than many many people who call themselves 3rd Degree High Priest/ess. With this foundation you would also make yourself a very good candidate for apprenticeship to a teaching ...
