True story - End of the Spear is the DVD version
This is an amazing story! One of the missionaries killed was the father of our son's math teacher. The way he'd explained it is in 1956, 5 American missionaries (including his father) were killed by a violent tribe of South American indians. What happened since then and is still happening today has made this one of the most well known missionary stories of the 20th Century. Like his own father, he had also become a minister to reach out to those who need unconditional love, peace, and guidance. He said they (the misionaries' families) have since carried out the original goal of their fathers and finally made successful contact with the tribe. The missionaries' families have also forgiven AND befriended the tribe members, built a mutual trust, bonded with them, and actually had some of ... This is an amazing story! Story of the five familes by one of the wifes.
This book had the lives of all the five families whose husbands were martyered by the Indians in Equador. Written by one of the wifes. Many pictures showing the families and how the wifes carried on to do their part for spreading the gospel to the Indians, the very ones who killed their husbands and how they forgave just as Christ forgave us our sins. Wonderful book and really can't say a bad thing about it.
