About this product

Product Information

Explore the mysterious depths of the abandoned Biologic Space Laboratories space station as heroine Samus Aran in 'Metroid Fusion.' This fourth installment in the Metroid series takes players into the uncharted territory, to a lab crawling with aliens and organisms infected with dangerous virions known as the X Parasites. Armed with a gadget-enhanced suit of armor, complete with the ability to fire missiles, perform speed dashes, and morph into a ball, Samus can interact with her world in a whole new way. Climb walls, grip ledges, and even scale the ceiling, fighting enemies and acquiring new skills along the way. Players can engage the action head-on with the game's innovative side-scrolling maneuvers and mission-based gameplay for exploring the space station and unlocking new objectives.

    Basically Super Metroid 2

Super Metroid is a great game and Metroid Fusion stands on the shoulders of it. I remember wanting to play Fusion badly because I had so much fun with Super Metroid. Fusion takes things a step further by allowing some smooth gameplay mechanics with Gameboy Advance's lower button count. The colors are rich and there is some really cool sprite animation that includes simulated 3D enlargement and rotation, which is something you'd see in Genesis games, Super R Type III, or Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The sprites are also a bit larger and well shaded; they look juicier and easier on the eyes. What's different in Fusion compared to other Metroids is that the game gives you clear objectives that tell you where to go next whereas previous Metroids left you to figure things out by ...

  • Great game in the series.

Metroid Fusion is absolutely amazing for what it is. While they guide you more in this compared to other Metroid games, it also gives you a better sense of engagement with the more horrorish type elements of the game itself by not leaving you totally lost for long periods (Though you can still get a bit lost!). Now, I haven't finished it, but it's doing a great job being one of my favorites of the 2d Metroid titles! (though the music of Super Metroid is still one of the best!) I absolutely recommend this game to collectors or Metroid fans alike. Buying it on the Wii-U works too, or simply getting it digitally by other means + a flash cart, but I simply HAD to own it myself. Worth it for the current price of $40-50. Easily get your moneys worth for this and Metroid Zero Mission if you're ...

  • The Best Game Of All Time

No, I'm not kidding. I'm not IGN, so this isn't a full review, but damn this is a phenomenal game. Tight, intuitive controls, a compelling story, gorgeous pixel graphics, and the best level design of any game I've ever played. Yeah, it's pretty difficult, but that's not really a bad thing unless you're a little bitch. If you already have a GameBoy you 100% must purchase this game right damn now. If not, consider getting one just to play this game. Absolute essential, 11/10

  • 2D Metroid is the best

To some people it may seem like making video games is very counter-intuitive. You might have expected that a 2D game would be the very beginning of the series while a 3D Metroid(Prime) should be the ending of the series. This is not the case however. In the chronology of the Metroid universe, Metroid Fusion is at the very end of the time line in the series. Granted, I'm not sure where Metroid: Other M fits in yet . Metroid fusion tells the story of Samus just after she gets infected with a strange organism that corrupts her power suit. She has to undergo a strange type of surgery that leaves her vulnerable and having to acquire most of her powers all over again. The best part of this game is it requires you to utilize some thinking and intuition to defeat the many, MANY bosses in this ...

  • It's a Metroid game, they're all good

Metroid Fusion or Metroid 4 was released in 2002 for the GBA to coincide with Metroid Prime on the Gamecube. Both games are amazing for different reasons. Fusion is a lovely, linear, 2D Metroid game that while not as compelling as Super Metroid, is still a fantastic game that I put many hours in and would recommend to anyone looking to get into the series.
