Runs well on Windows XP SP3. Sounds like it might be a pain to get working on Windows 10. Good port though. I'm having a blast playing these games.

This game contains the King's Quest games 1-7. What makes this package so great is that you can play these games on windows 2000 or xp, because otherwise you would need to find an original copy and inferior computer like windows 3.1 to play them. The games do tend to have a few glitches, especially in color, but they're typically easy to ignore. I bought this package because I missed playing these games since my windows 3.1 died. If you would like to explore the origins of adventure gaming, or just simply like old school adventure games, then King's Quest Collection is a must buy!This game contains the King's Quest games 1-7. What makes this package so great is that you can play these games on windows 2000 or xp, because otherwise you would need to find an original copy and inferior computer like windows 3.1 to play them. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Kings Quest fan at heart and love all the games. This isn't a review of the game play because honestly, if you are buying these games, it's not for the graphics but for the memory of the old games. And games 1-6 work great on XP/Vista. However, the makers of the game did not put a lot of effort into seeing either Kings Quest 7 will work on XP/Vista or put any of the patches on that fix the glitches. This was the game that I was looking forward to playing the most, and it frustrated me. The problem is with the DOS program that isn't compatable. However, there is a fix (took me 3 attempts to figure it out.) http://www.sierrahelp.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=47 I wouldn't have been able to play the game without it, but ... Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Kings Quest fan at heart and love all the games. Very nice and works great
I played all these the first time around and enjoyed them a lot. I had trouble getting it to run on my win 8.1 PC but found setting compatibility for win95 and not checking any other boxes it runs great. Still have not figured out how to get it to run on my win 7 PC but I think I have an XP PC in the garage to try it on. 5 years ago I sold all my original games (many games) to a retro software place for $800 and couldn't play floppies on anything I have now anyway.
