    Downton Abbey is a beautiful period piece with many well-developed and really engaging characters, with a good portion being women.     A very interesting and entertaining story!

    It’s a great show! I watched most of it on pbs, but love rewatching favorite shows. These classics show a great deal of history, from the elite, to the gardener. Nice scenery and beautiful house!

    MOST PHENOMENAL MINI-SERIES IN DECADES!!

    Oh My Goodness!!! I have watched ALL of Downton Abbey Seasons I and II, and just finished Season III !! Hands down, it's the best television mini-series I've seen since the Thornbirds back in the early 80's!! Not only is Julian Fellows a brilliant writer, but the cast and crew of the British series is absolutely over-the-top and nailed the ambiance. I would recommend that anyone past the age of 12 should watch this incredible period piece. This is programming that the entire family can enjoy! I DO hope that there will be some kind of continuation of the program...perhaps it could pick up a new story line involving more modern times with the new heir and his life??
