    Severed Ways - Interesting Indy film.

    This film is really a great independent creation which depicts what North America would have been like for early norse explorers. Bare in mind that this film was made on a small budget and has a very small cast, but it makes an impression on the viewer nonetheless. I would recommend this film only if you have an interest in norse history and enjoy an documentary-like style of cinema. The cinematography is panoramic at times and is reminiscent of films like Jeremiah Johnson. Life is graphically depicted, and the language spoken is old norse, so prepare to read subtitles. This film is for a specific audience.

    severed ways

    a very different movie...very raw.Did not like the use of modern slang i understand where the director was coming from but i thought it took away from the experience of the rawness and reality of the movie. alot of people have said they couldnt stand all the chopping of the wood and didnt get it.i loved it,the monotony of each hack made you understand the hard work,the feeling of using raw materials and raw tools...i felt their pain and exhaustion.i loved the ending final scene(once again alot of people didnt like it ),i felt it as deep and as vast as that snow.very different movie ,very different experience but thats why i liked it. thanks

    Waste of a film-highly disappointing

    I wouldn't give this to my worst enemy. Last thing I want to see is a visual of a man pooping on camera. Gross.

    Severed Ways is a must see!

    Even though this isnt an excellent movie!~But is worth checking out! I just wish theres a way to rate a movie 4.5 stars! If your looking for great DVDs with Vikings as part of the storyline I recommend the 13th Warrior & Outlander!~Even Pathfinder is a great choice! Im going to say rent & watch this movie first because the description of the movie makes it sound great but not as much action as I was expecting!

    As far as Indies go ~ 4 outta 5 ~ Not to say it has some faults it does ~

    THIS IS FOR 3 KINDS OF PEOPLE. People who love the spirit of true INDY films! People who love VIKINGS!! And people who love Heavy Metal!! Very cool flick ~ you may get lost in the pace early on ~ but stick with it ~ it really is a cooll movie ~
