great glass kettle
what i like best about this kettle is that the water is boiled in GLASS (borosilicate if i'm not mistaken, which is a strong glass). This is healthier than metal I believe, because hot water inside a metal (or plastic for that matter) container can leach small amounts of metal or plastic into the water. Truly excellent hot-water kettle
The reason I bought this excellent kettle is because the one I bought 5 years ago and have used multiple times every day since then finally stopped engaging, and I wanted my old friend back. Fortunately for me (and you) they still make them. I bought the white one because my other counter appliances are white, but the countless colors this item comes in is quite seductive. I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to find this product again. In fact, I may buy a spare right now as insurance against the uncertainties of the future. What I like about this kettle is that the thing turns itself off when the water is boiled. I can forget I turned it on and don't risk burning up a pot. Also, it DOES NOT WHISTLE at me. Except for the great sound of boiling water, it's silent. ... Automatic shut off is the best.
The machine works great, we turn it on just before going out to clear the snow. The machine boils the water, automatically shuts off and we are ready for hot cocoa when the walk and driveway are cleared. No worry about boiling the pot dry or the stove being on while we are out of the house.
