Am Anfang dieser Sammlung stand eine kuriose Reise: 1971/72 war ich, berzeugt davon, dass sich die Welt gerade auf wunderbare Weise verndert, von Thailand aus nach Birma gereist, um Gebiete aufzusuchen, die unter der Herrschaft der KP Birmas standen. Ich hatte gehrt, dass die chinesischen Roten Garden - illegal eingereist wie ich - im Gebiet der Wa, eines zuvor gefrchteten Volkes von Kopfjgern, eine klassenlose Gesellschaft errichten. Ich war noch einige Tagesmrsche vom maoistischen Reich der Wa entfernt, als ich von Soldaten einer Kachin-Miliz freundlich aufgefordert wurde, mich doch bitte wieder zurck nach Thailand zu begeben. Der Weg zur chinesischen Grenze sei fr einen Auslnder zu gefhrlich.Obwohl mir der Ausflug zu den Wa so missglckt ist, habe ich mich weiter fr die Bergvlker interessiert. Damals habe ich begonnen Mrchen der Vlker aus dem Grenzgebiet zu bersetzen. Ein Reihe Texte erschien zwischen 1982 und 1990 in den "Chinablttern". Eine grere Anzahl Mrchen freilich blieb nach der Einstellung der Druckausgabe der Zeitschrift unverffentlicht.Die Mrchen der Kachin sind nun Teil einer umfangreicheren Verffentlichung von Material, das sich in den letzten dreiig Jahren bei mir angesammelt hat.

I do, however, recommend some changes to their shipping - they show a shipper (SortHub) on eBay, but the tracking # they email is for a different carrier. It’s difficult to know where my purchase is.
This time, it was delivered a week late. In the grand scheme of things not a big deal. But it shouldn’t be this difficult to accurately track my purchase.
