I took a chance on this comic book. The description just said “book”. They didn’t use a real picture of the book either. But still I purchased it. Book came in today in a flimsy package with no cardboard backing nor was it in a sealed bag. This book came from a library and still has the library stickers on it and has been stamped inside by the library itself.

    Great book! Great price!

    This book changed the way that people think about the cultural evolution of humans and how biology through inherited genes plays a role in determining the behavior of all living things including humans. A very controversial publication back in 1976, the book has proven to be correct and it is the first time the term Sociobiology was used. It ultimately put social sciences like anthropology, psychology and sociology under the umbrella of biology because of the science behind inherited genes as opposed to the “tabla rasa” belief held by the social sciences until the author, renowned ecologist E. O. Wilson, set them straight with his concept of “consilience”, that is, joining those sciences together, for the first time in history.

    A Classic Science Book.

    Without question one of the most fascinating science books of the twentieth century. Wilson applies his wide and deep undrstanding of the genetic basis of behavior among insects and nonhuman mammals to speculate about the human case. Beautifully illustrated and clearly written, with countless fascinating details.

    Awesome

    An amazingly rigorous and wonderful book. History has forgotten how detailed Wilson's approach to evolutionary psychology is. The book is not easy reading. It's very theoretical with equations. It's also brilliantly written. Highly recommended.
