Man muss schon lange suchen, um was Negatives über diese Kamera zu schreiben. Ich versuche es trotzdem mal: Es gibt keine ext. Stromanschluss. Besonders ärgerlich ist auch, das Nikon keinen einheitlichen Anschluss für Fernsteuerungen und Zubehör besitzt. Auch die Akku-Kompaktibilität ist nicht gegeben - Chaos. Was hätte dagegen gesprochen, eine Größe beizubehalten, aber dem tech. Fortschritt entsprechend mit immer mehr Kapazität auszustatten? Batteriehandgriffe: Jede Kamera braucht einen anderen. Selbst die Typenbezeichnungen sind für mich ein kaum noch nachvollziehbares Durcheinander. Der Hauptschwachpunkt aller Nikons ist aber, das die Kamera keinen eingebauten Verwacklungsschutz besitzt wie andere. Der muss dann gffs. teuer mit jedem Objektiv einzeln gekauft werden. Sehr schlecht. Das können andere klar besser. Noch unverständlcher ist die schlechte Differenzierung von Billig- und Qualitätsoptiken. Wie kann man als Hersteller nur so dumm sein und seinen Ruf so leichtfertig aufs Spiel setzen? Wie leicht kann es passieren, dass jemand schlechte Bilder pauschal der Marke zuordnet. Dasselbe gilt übrigens auch für Ferngläser und Zielfernrohre, bei denen man Mühe hat, Billigware von Qualität zu unterscheiden. Ähnliches gilt auch für die Qbjektivpolitik: Als sich der Trend zum Vollformat abzeichnete, brachte Nikon unverdrossen DX-Objektive heraus und hat jetzt für das Vollformat kaum Angebote, die 20MPixel-Chips und höher gewachsen wären. Es gibt eine große Zahl von Leuten, die richtig Geld für gute Kameras und Objektive auszugeben bereit sind. Nikon hätte hier die einmalige Chance, den Leuten praktisch alle Objektive neu zu verkaufen, als digital optimiert. Sowas von ungeschickt...

Great affordable DSLR, worth every cent! Highly recommended!
Was looking to finally get into digital, after many years of analog. Been procrastinating this for a decade, always found good reasons to not switch just yet. Until I had this little D7000 in my own hands. I still don't know everything about it, and I'm still trying to get used to being able to actually USE those ridiculously high ISOs, (those of you who ever pushed an Ilford XP1 to 3200 ISO will know what I'm talking about ;) ) but what I've seen so far is just amazing. It's fast. Not F5 fast, but damn fast. It's lightweight, but feels just right after a short while. I got huge hands and will probably get the battery grip sometime sooner or later, but it's fine as it is. IQ is amazing, if you want better still, go 6x7 and shoot film :p Some of your old lenses might not be as perfect as ... Was looking to finally get into digital, after many years of analog. You can see that only on a computer screen at 100% of course, but still. If you are a Tele fan like myself and want DX, this is the one. Don't bother with the D300or D300s. Wait for the D400 if you need that "Professional" stamp. Btw, if you are the type to sit there and make long time exposures of the inner of your lens cap...go and get a new hobby. Just PLEASE don't buy one of these and start crying and counting hot pixels, and ruin it for others who might have the misconception you had any clue of Photography! As always, YMMV!

Great machine brilant picture quality

Nikon D7000, still a top DX camera
it's the best DX format DSRL camera for me. It's performance is better than my old D90, but not the hand grip. It's better in low light, focusing, it has personalized U1 and U2 settings. and not in the end, it works and electronically focuses with my old better manual lenses. It isn't so fast, only 5 frames/sec. and it has a small buffer but I'm not a sport photographer. in conclusion, I still recommend this camera for those who didn't intend to buy a FX.it's the best DX format DSRL camera for me. Excellent camera. High quality of pictures. The best camera ever i used. New EXPEED2 processor make fantastical shots. My previous camera was D90, so this device is better.
