Great lens for the beginner-intermediate user. A must when traveling.
This s a very versatile and simple to use lens that produces great quality images for the beginner-intermediate user. More experienced photographers will look for a lower F stop but for the money you'll pay, it's very hard to go past this lens. My only concern is it feels a bit too plasticky. The upside is it's very lightweight for a lens with a good focal length. It's a great outdoor lens and the image stabilizer works very well. I have several of these lenses in my various camera kits and certainly would recommend them. Don't forget to put a skylight filter on the lens to protect the optics from dust and scratches.This s a very versatile and simple to use lens that produces great quality images for the beginner-intermediate user. Lens are great for the price, it takes great pictures, its light, it has a really solid construction. The only con is that with low light it takes some time to focus.

Cheapest substitute Lens for Learners
The lens was second hand but hardly used. It was the ideal lens for my use in the Local Camera Club and learning more about photography. The item was the best substitute for a very expensive 18 x 200mm lens, of which would do both jobs of two lens but I have found using two lens has been more beneficial to my photography learning. It is an excellent lens, both for Professionals & Learner, I highly recommend budding photographers to use this excellent product. WilliamThe lens was second hand but hardly used. SUPER value for the money.
Very happy with this lens. supersilent, and picture quality is superb. Very cheap when considering the next step up in quality is the Canon L series which cost way to much for my pocket. Looked at several comparison websites and this lens is recommended and well worth the price when you realized its quality when compared with the non STM version. A clear bargain.
