The Canon EOS M2 18.0 MP Digital Camera is the solution.The Canon EOS M2 is the second entry into the mirrorless digital camera world produced in Japan by Canon. It adds a faster autofocus thanks to the use of the hybrid CMOS II sensor. In addition, the EOS M2 adds a built-in Wi-Fi capability so that you can transfer images wirelessly to your smartphone. The compact Wi-Fi module also lets you use your smartphone as a remote control with the free EOS Remote app. That app will allow you to view the live image, focus and fire the shutter.The lightweight Canon M2 weighs just 274 grams (a bit under 10 oz) but has a solid body thanks to its front and back aluminum panels. The M2 also displays the familiar EOS "DNA" including the distinctive curving around the shutter release.Most of the controls will feel comfortable and familiar to Canon EOS users. In addition, the redesigned mode dial makes it easy to access the “creative group” of modes. That group includes programmed automatic, shutter and aperture priority automatic and manual. What's more, the shutter release practically eliminates shutter lag as there are only 0.05 seconds of it in the M2. The 3-inch touch panel screen on the back of the body serves as both preview and playback screen. What's more, the 1 million pixel display is bright and crisp with excellent image quality.The M2 uses Canon’s advanced Digic 5 processing engine and the 18.1-megapixel APS-C size sensor help capture crisp, sharp images. What's more, the advanced Digic 5's low-noise image processing makes the entire 100 to 12800 ISO range usable. The M2 can handle burst captures up 4.6 frames per second in either Canon raw or jpeg formats. In addition to the native ISO, adjustable from 100 to 12800, the M2 has an extended range. That's especially useful for shooting in a multitude of low light situations. In addition, the Canon M2 captures video in full HD or standard definition. It records with stereo sound from the built-in microphones, or you can add an external microphone using the mike jack.The M2, like its predecessor, uses the Canon Eos EF-M lens mount. This camera comes bundled with two lenses – the EOS EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens and the 22mm f/2 STM lens. Those lenses are complemented by the camera’s 3 – 10X digital zoom – particularly useful for video shoots when using the faster 22mm lens. Power is provided by a single LP-E12 which will provide about 230 shots per charge.The M2 also comes bundled with the compact but powerful Speedlight 90EX model EOS flash and is also compatible with other dedicated EOS system strobe units.

    Great addition to EOS owners

    First of all, I am a long time Canon user, and I have been lugging a 1DmkIII with a 30D as a backup. I primarily carry the 24-105 f/4L and 100-400L (mk1). While this is a great setup, I find myself needing something light that does not sacrifice the image quality much. So I spent a fair amount of time researching and reading about the mirrorless and micro 4/3. I narrowed down my selections to Canon M2, M3, Sony A6000 and certain Olympus and Panasonic micro 4/3s, but after weighing all the pros and cons of each camera, it came down to price, and this particular package (body, 22mm lens, 18-55mm lens, 90ex flash, and the EF-EFM adapter to use my existing EF lenses) for about $400 is simply within my sweet spot and too good to pass up (to top that off, there was a 10% paypal discount offer ...
