About this product

Product Information

Literary critic Shearman Waxx can kill a good book with just a few acidly worded bon mots. And as one unlucky author is about to discover, that's not all he's prepared to kill. . . . From #1 New York Times bestselling master of suspense Dean Koontz comes a mesmerizing thriller about the battle of wills that ensues when a successful author and likable family man confronts a reclusive sociopath who wields an all-too-deadly poison pen. Respect Shearman Waxx's opinion and you might escape with your career intact. Cross him and he'll destroy you, your family, and everything you hold dear. For the title "America's most feared critic" isn't one Waxx takes lightly. He takes it literally. And now Cubby Greenwich, his wife, Penny, their brilliant six-year-old Milo, and their uniquely talented non-collie, Lassie, are all about to learn the true meaning of "culture war."

"Koontz is a master of the edge-of-your-seat, paranoid thriller and perhaps the leading American practitioner of the form."- Newark Star-Ledger "Koontz is working at his pinnacle, providing terrific entertainment that deals seriously with some of the deepest themes of human existence: the nature of evil, the grip of fate and the power of love."- Publishers Weekly , Starred Review "Koontz has always had near-Dickensian powers of description, and an ability to yank us from one page to the next that few novelists can match." - Los Angeles Times "An exquisite crafting of the thrilling, the unexplainable, and the personal, with the mirth and whimsy that Koontz throws in seemingly effortlessly just when it's most needed and least expected."- Library Journal , starred review "[A] smoothly spun nail-biter.... Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • Intense, brutal storyline involving children.

Very tense story with gruesome detail. I didn't like it as it involved the descriptive torture of very young children and I never read books like that. I had to quit reading before I was halfway into the story. I debated giving a review as I like this author very much but felt compelled to warn other readers of the brutality in it. It still bothers me as I was completely not expecting the gruesome detail.

  • Boring

Finding it very hard to get into this book. I love all the other Koontz book I have read. This one is so slow moving.

  • Great Book

I have not read Relentless yet, but have never read a Koontz novel I did not like and the fact there is a dog in it is a plus for me.

  • A good summer-read. Good action and storyline. Enjoyed it very much.

This is a good read, as all Koontz books are. I've read better books from him, but I still enjoyed this one, never the less. I do recommend it.
