    Simply Wonderful

    I first bought this book when I was 18; I am now 26 & still reference this book! It is written in journal form & takes you through the character's entire life, stage by stage; this is what makes it an excellent piece to return to. You can identify w/ it during almost any given point in your life. It talks about everything from first love, real love, parental issues, death of a loved one, how she coped w/ each of these, etc. I have read this several times & also given several away as gifts. This is one every woman should have in her library, no matter how old she is!

    Great Book that makes you think about yourself

    I think this is an absolutely wonderful book. This book was a choice for a book group I'm in and I am so pleased we chose it. It is actually a journal and if you didn't know better, it seems as if it's non-fiction. Mrs. Prentiss did such a wonderful job bringing me into the story that I felt like I was in this woman's life The author really conveys the growing up of this young women (who started her journal at 16). I was able to see myself in the entire book. As a teenager, I thought "Wow, that's what my Mom went through!" As a young clueless wife, I thought of how much she reminds me of myself. The entire book seems to bring out a lot of thoughts of how I want to be as a person in society. Everyone in the group loved it and I definitely ...

    Definately Heavenly!

    I have purchased this book at least 7 times. Each time I purchase "Stepping Heavenward", I pass the copy along to a friend, or even a stranger. Elizabeth Prentiss is my favorite author! This book is both inspiring and enlightening! The main character of the book is quite simply human, which makes her perfect for the telling of the story of life. The insights into womanhood, motherhood and life in general are priceless. I would recommend this book for anyone ages 16 to 116!
