    Fun and intuitive effects unit

    I'm having a blast with my Korg Kaoss Pad KP3. I have it hooked up as an effect unit for one of my synthesizers and besides using it for effects and adding a little bit more oomph to my synth, it also has a sampler function so I can record and loop my riffs without having to record and sequence in my DAW. It's really easy and intuitive to use as well. Only complaint is that the quality of the sound output is not professional level. I don't know the technical specs or what the sample rate or bit depth the out put is, but it definitely isn't 24 bit 44khz or above.

    Completely upped my live performance game.

    It's essentially a simple little box, but its ease of use and the sheer flexibility it imbues to whatever gear it's paired with makes it a radically powerful game changer. It's an amazingly competent and easy to use looper with a lot of potential for live remix applications, plus it features some onboard drums, lots of excellent effects, synthesized pad, bass or lead sounds, plus the ability to grab a loop and slice parts out of that sound as it plays. I usually pair the KP3+ to my Machinedrum UW, allowing me to fit an entire 2-hour live set of lush dub techno into a single backpack, travel to a venue, then set up in mere minutes. The looping functions grab samples perfectly from the Machinedrum and loop them immediately, allowing for seamless transitions between songs as well as the ...
