    Well made but only good for addresses 1 -8.

    Buttons work smotther than the old woodgrain style with the flap door. However you must select address 1-4 or 5-8 with an inconvenient slide switch and you CANNOT control addresses 9-16 !!!.

    Old timer better than new one

    The Radio Shack system fir power control is a twenty year old whole house control system. The timer is used to control lights and appliances. Although no longer sold by the Shack, the system is available from X10. Unfortunately, the new timer isn't very good, I've owned both this model is far better.

    Works reliably

    Not the latest and greatest but it works reliably replacing a like unit that worked well for 15 years until a power surge ended its term. The new one works well and does what I want it to do - turn the lights off and on, on a schedule that I can easily set and easily change.

    X10 Controler

    I have been using X10 control modules for approx. 20 years, my previous controller bit the dust. The new unit fit right in without any problems. Works with all of the existing modules regardless of age.
