I purchased this as a part of my ongoing studies. But, people must realize that this is truly a LITERAL translation - and as such - does not actually convey MEANING as an accepted translation does. For instance, in ENGLISH the word BASS or BASE - both have many different meanings. This is not uncommon even in English. So, trying to translate the bible is a daunting task. I purchased this as a REFERENCE only - not as a primary and accepted BIBLE.I purchased this as a part of my ongoing studies. A great study aid.
The Young's Literal Translation is a great book for comparison reading. I especially like the translation of the word "age" as it gives a whole different meaning to several Scriptures. I recommend it for the serious student of the Scriptures.
