  • The Most Underrated Flash Out There

This is the most underrated, underpriced flash available. Powerful with a guide number of 100 I am guessing. Maybe 80? ETTL, Manual, Bounce, Swivel, HSS (High Speed Sync) and multiple. I'm not sure what a Canon Speedlight (or Nikon equivalent) can do that this flash can't. Just a fun little flash. And for what a Canon or Nikon costs one can buy multiples of this and equip your studio. I own 5 of them. It's cliche but this is a "secret" flash that everyone should know about. I own a couple Speedlights and 4 or 5 Metz 58-AF's (Speedlight clones) but I almost always grab the little Quantaray when I need a quick shoot. It's so cheap I don't worry about it and it will do anything I need.

  • Very nice flash, if a bit large

I was looking for a flash for the oddball Sony/Minolta shoe. I found this on at a very attractive price. It is a very nice and flexible flash, with things like two heads, manual flash with level control, etc. My only negative comes from the fact that it is pretty large and heavy, and SLR's these days keep getting smaller
