    An Anglers delight.

    I remember watching this series with my late father when it was first shown on Channel 4 but didn't realise until very recently that it was available on DVD and thought that I must buy a copy. I watched the whole 3 hours worth in one evening and was as enthralled with it now as I was around thirty years ago. To those of us of a certain age, the late great Michael Hordern was the voice of Paddington Bear on TV but he was much more than just Paddington; he was a great actor in film, on stage and in television drama but he was also a life-long enthusiastic Angler. This DVD sees Michael narrate the words of Arthur Ransome (known mainly for his Swallows and Amazons series of books) from the only Angling book he wrote, Rod & Line, whist fishing the rivers and streams Arthur wrote about.
