This calculator is easy to operate. But most of all, i like that it accepts minus for a negative sign. Not many calculators are able to do that.

I originally got this model of a Casio scientific calculator back in late 2006. After 6 years of middle and high school, being used 5 days a week during school, and being dropped and abused more times than I want to disclose, this baby still keeps going. It's got an excellent power supply. The solar panel works great and it's always charged up (I've never seen it die once, even in the dark, and I've never replaced the batteries either.) After using an 8 digit calculator for years and years, I can say with confidence that I will never be going back voluntarily. This scientific calculator does so much more than a standard 8 digit, and yet, it works great for basic calculations as well. And if you're wondering whether you should get one or not (maybe you're thinking you just don't need one), ... I originally got this model of a Casio scientific calculator back in late 2006. And if you're wondering whether you should get one or not (maybe you're thinking you just don't need one), consider this; What's so great about scientific calculators is that when you type stuff in (say "3 + 4 - 9"), you can just hit the backspace button like on a keyboard if you make a mistake. No more "Uh oh, I hit the wrong number". With this, it doesn't matter. Anything you type in you can just go back like when typing on a keyboard. It even allows you the option of going back in a series of numbers that you typed in and being able to change one (or more) of the numbers in the series (Example: if you typed in 247 + 546 - 12 but you meant to say 247 + 446 - 12, you could go back and change the 546 to 446 without having to erase the whole (or even part) of the series. This is great for balancing a checkbook or solving a long/hard equation. Also, if the calculator goes off, it will remember your last entry. To not buy one because "there's nothing wrong with my 8 digit" is like saying "I've gotten along great all my life without electricity, why do I need it now?". Just trust me, once you get used to it, you'll wonder how you ever got along with out it. It will save you much time and stress, and it's something you'll probably end up using a couple times a month at least (for bills and stuff). This model has been around for years, is VERY reliable, and is also quite easier to use than other models I've tried from other companies. Casio is a pretty big name so you know it's not gonna be all funky or anything. Anyway, that's my two cents worth. PS: For those interested, no, it's not a graphing calculator.

Very pleased with this.
Great calculator, easy to use, bought it for my son who works in a machine shop and has to use trig.He is using it and tells he like it a lot. Have used Casio myself for years and compared to others it is much better. The dual power also works great. Would recommend it.

I purchased this item for my son, who is in High School. This item was required for his math class. I used it on a few occasions and it is awesome. It's sleek, thin and looks great. Let alone gets the job done. My son also complimented the item saying Dad this is great and I'm glad you purchased it for me. Well needless to say, if I had to purchase another one in a year or two, I would.
