    "Inexpensive alternative and still versatile choice"

    There are lots of Canon cameras in the Elph series. I think this is around the second -third generation. The sd200,300,400 are all the same body size and use the same waterproof case. They are all similar in features just have increased mp rating in each. The sd400 takes a sd or mm card but not a HI DEF one. Size of the camera; 3 and1/4x2x3/4" make it a true 'compact' "point and shoot" as they call most all brands of auto focus digital cameras, I think. It has a nice silver finish that seem to resist wear pretty well. Not sure but most of these have not been produced for many years so time attests to this cameras durability factor. It also easily loads pictures to your computer just by plugging in a single cable and it auto loads the program for the camera,to instantly view or send ...

    THIS CAMERA WAS PURCHASED TO REPLACE AN IDENTICAL ONE THAT WAS LOST. THIS MODEL, EVEN THOUGH OUTDATED BY NEWER TECHNOLOGY, IS VERY CONVENIENT TO TRAVEL WITH AND PRODUCES VERY GOOD PHOTOS AND VIDEOS. UNFORTUNATELY, WHEN THIS CAMERA WAS RECEIVED THE POWER ZOOM FEATURE WAS NOT OPERATING. OTHERWISE, WORKS AS ADVERTISED. .

    best sony cam on the market. all metal housing, very durable, very rugged, grety high res pics, great to close up macro shots and night shots. i've taken this many places, it has been dropped numerous times, worked everytime. easy to put i the pocket, quick access to snatch out and grab some pics on the fly. i sat on it and broke the screen, went to ebay bought a used camera for parts...found some instructions online and swapped out the screen.. it was easy to do and now i have a whole camera as back up for any parts. it also came w/a spare battery, charger and card. it was a great deal. i wasn't too impressed with the newer versions of sd sony cams...i like the all metal housing and small boxy feature of the sd400. the menu navs are easy to use and there is no lag between ...

    Cannon is a trusted product

    Love the camera. Had one before but stolen. Nice quality and pictures. The screen is a nice size for viewing. I have a Kodak and I like it but really have enjoyed using the Cannon before. The clarity on pictures makes you feel like it is right there. The buttons can be a bit hard to master but if you read the manuel it will be easier. So those that hate reading need to read it. I did not receive the USB cord but will buy. I use my camera on the computer alot so it is easy to use.
