However Royal Mail's handling of 48 hour guaranteed delivery was appalling - they informed me they'd deliver 14th, I waited in all day with front door ajar, then at 4.30 received a text stating "Delivery failed, access denied"!! Took 2 phone calls (wait 25 mins for each) to be told that actually means delivery was not attempted! Usually Royal Mail are really good but when they're not they really let us all down.
