Notes
Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin blew out of Chicago and made his debut album for Blue Note Records in 1956 steering a nimble quartet with pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Curly Russell, and drummer Max Roach through a fantastic set of originals and standards. From the blistering opener "Mil Dew" to the loping "Chicago Calling" and bluesy "Nice and Easy" Griffin's staggering technical ability and buoyant swing is readily apparent at every twist and turn. Griffin would follow with two more standout Blue Note albums-A Blowing Session featuring John Coltrane and The Congregation-the next year.

- p***i (135)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseShipping was as expected: Less than a week. The packaging was very well protected. The quality of each album was as advertised: in sound, excellent, or mint condition. The value was exceptional, That's why I bought it, and the appearance was satisfactory. It's great when a seller delivers what they advertise. I will buy from this seller again.
- n***u (1980)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseQuick ship, but not packed very safely at all. No bubble wrap or cardboard stiffeners, just the record tossed into a thin record mailer. Good price and somehow (luckily) arrived as described.El Loco (Pink LP), ZZ Top, New (#316602553437)
