    Good for Unifi System

    This is a good switch providing you have a Unifi system. Otherwise there are less expensive options. This switch can supply 60 watts (a lot) but only from four of the eight ports. If you don't know, all Unifi equipment is configured and monitored by the Unifi controller, not by logging into each box. This controller is software that can be in the cloud, on your PC, or on the small Unifi Cloud Key hardware. So this switch is great as part of a Unifi system but has no special advantages when used with with non-Unifi routers switches, and access points.

    Great Features

    This is one of the best switch that I have been working on that comes with a good price. This 8 port managed gigabit switch with auto-sensing PoE ports delivers fast transfer rates than those consumer router/switches. With its intuitive controller you can never miss any host or networks connect to it. The device also constantly heats up but this is normal operation, you just have to place the device on a ventilated are or an open space to dissipate the heat. Overall, this device rocks on your network.

    Great switch to extend PoE needs

    If your existing network uses Ubiquiti gear / UniFi portal and needs a few more PoE ports, these switches are great. If you don’t use the management of UniFi or need more than 4 PoE ports, you can probably get by with a cheaper PoE switch. I do recommend them for corporate / business applications. They are solid and silent, but do generate some heat during normal use.

    Switch was used - not New

    Advertised as new - was not because had been set up and managed by other ubiquiti management system. I had to reset the switch so it would be adopted by my network. Haven't used all ports yet we'll see if it was a good value. No one else bid on the switch.

    UniFi management plus 4 PoE ports & 4 gig Non-PoE = good

    If you use Ubiquiti UniFi management portal, this switch is what you need for small expansion to your network. It did what we needed in our existing UniFi network.
