    About this product

    Product Information

Thirty years after the destruction of the planet Helghan, the Vektans and the Helgan survivors each share half of the planet Vekta. They live in a tense social and political state with a massive wall separating each side from the other. "Killzone: Shadow Fall" for the Sony PlayStation 4 starts out with you as Kellan, a Vektan Shadow Marshal. Kellan is working to stop bold attacks and secret infiltration into their side of the city. These attacks are perpetrated by Helghan factions who still hold a grudge. The story features an array of twists and turns. Allies become enemies and vice versa. Fans of political intrigue and character-driven plots will thoroughly enjoy the "Killzone: Shadow Fall" campaign."Killzone: Shadow Fall" has the gameplay to back its story up. In combat, Kellan will wield an array of weapons. There are standard weapons, such as pistols and assault rifles, and futuristic weapons, such as high-powered lasers. You'll also have access to the OWL, a small flying drone. The OWL can stun your enemies and create zip lines that let you quickly get to a new location. The controls are tight, meaning that your button presses instantly display on the screen. While previous Killzone games focused on large-scale war, the city setting of "Shadow Fall" makes for a different experience. You'll frequently find yourself sneaking around, picking off Helghast one enemy at a time. However, that's not to say Guerrilla Games completely abandoned giant battles. In some single-player levels, you'll be fighting against an unrelenting horde of Helghast from all sides. At times, you'll be joined by Echo, an NPC who shares similar goals as Kellan. Once the campaign mode is complete, hop online for some multiplayer action. Team up with friends or find players online to form your teams and fill roles as medic, tactician, marksman, and assault soldier. Work together, and you might just stop another war from breaking out. "Killzone: Shadow Fall" features 10 multiplayer maps all ranging in size and complexity. Players can also tweak each map, creating custom modes they can share with friends. As you win multiplayer games, you'll earn skill points you can use to increase your character. You'll also unlock new weapons that can give you an advantage in your next game. The game is rated M for Mature because of blood, violence, and language."Killzone: Shadow Fall" had a release date of November 15, 2013, the same day the PlayStation 4 released. Sony Computer Entertainment chose "Killzone: Shadow Fall" to be an example of the graphics the system could provide. As such, the game has jaw-dropping visuals no matter what mode you choose to play. This video game features realistic lighting, lifelike character models, and high-resolution textures. Guerrilla Games also put in the effort to ensure the sound design was equally impressive. The game's composer is Tyler Bates, who also worked on the "Guardians of the Galaxy" feature film."Killzone: Shadow Fall" was the first PS4 game to sell over a million copies. It's easy to see why, thanks to its well-written story and action-packed combat. This PS4 shooter deserves a place in any PlayStationcollection.

        Fine gameplay :)

I looked forward to this game as Ive loved the Killzone series; this particular purchase was a GREAT value for a game in general: high quality gameplay & graphics, from an established series. I just felt it was odd in the world of the Killzone; It felt more like a stand-alone game, which was fine. Overall I love this purchase, would recommend it to fans of the franchise & this platform (PS4). Thank you :)

        Huge disappointment

This game is sadly a huge disappointment and let me tell you why. Campaign mode doesn't really make any sense and the game can be misleading at times with no direction at all. The controls in the game are terrible in the fact that most of the game relies on the touchpad, which in my opinion the touchpad on the DualShock 4 is worthless and goes off on its own without even actually touching it, so yeah try to avoid this one at all costs. Plus trying to get online multiplayer the game wouldn't even let me get on. It would just give me an error screen saying that I wasn't allowed to go online. Not sure why. I have no problem getting online with other games but this one. This game is terrible. 1 star. Do not recommend.

      • Entertaining

This game has a unique story line, fun to play and captivating enough to get a 4 star rating. The graphics aren't bad, they aren't the best, but they're good enough to rate just a bit above average by todays standards. It's not a game I would spend $60.00 on, so if you can get it cheap enough, somewhere around the mid 20's range, then it will definitely be worth it.

      • Another Great Killzone Installment

I was really happy to see a 4th installment to the "Killzone" series on the PS4. I have been a fan of Killzone since its release back on the PS2 system. I really enjoyed "Shadowfall" I felt it was a great addition to the game franchise. I read some reviews that featured complaints that the game did not follow the all out action Killzone style. I found this not to be the case. The difference from this game between the others is the "stealth" concepts (you are a playing as a "Shadow Marshall" so there is more sneaking around & using gadgets) but there are plenty of cool weapons & good amounts high speed action. I also really enjoyed the soundtrack it was very industrial & dark. Overall "Shadowfall" was a super experience & I really enjoyed the riveting storyline. The ending may not have been ...

      • The Story is lacking

I only bought this game because i loved Killzone 3. Still even though the game is graphically magnificent the story isn't. The story falls short compared to its predecessors.
