      Slow to set up, got there in the end.

      Well, as this was an old Type Remote ( but new Item) I tried in on older Dot, it did everything except Voice Commands. Went on line to get some help from users, that did not fix it. I did try a few more times, guess what, it picked up my 2nd Echo (Newer) in Bedroom, it now works fine, it was a bit of a “Twilight Zone” moment, ask your parents!!! Thank you. KH

      Remote was as described with one minor complaint

      This product was everything it was supposed to be and as described. It did pair with my Alexa echo devices and seemed to work, although it consistently had issues interpreting requests to play radio station call letters. My biggest complaint is that the product seemed to be old enough that the rubberized coating on the remote had begun to breakdown and become sticky to the touch. I hate when remote controllers do that.

      Alexa Voice remote for Echo and Echo Dot

      this is a very good design. I have problems when my tv is on speaking into my amazon echo. When I use this remote, it works the first time. Very good to have. I can carry it anywhere in the home and where I do not have on of the echo dot's or the Echo, I can speak right into the remote and it works the first time. Thinking of buying a second just to have in another part of the house. The only thing is, the echo dot is about the same price and I could buy another one of those. But this remote is great. Even great to have if I leave and want to turn on the garage light instead of messing with the smart phone.

      Doesn't work with sub pair.

      This remote works great if you have two Echo speakers paired together. However if you have an Amazon sub paired with two Echo speakers the remote will not work. If uses the Bluetooth for the sub speaker and will not work to control volume, track change, or play and pause. Nor does the voice control from remote work. If you only want to control one echo, or echo pair, it seems to work okay. But if you also have a sub paired, it's useless. Amazon doesn't clarify this.

      Work great!

      Works great. Does exactly what I wanted it to do, which was to provide the ability to give instructions to Alexa without shouting to the Dot, adjust volume, advance tracks, and pause. It seems to have a sleep feature because if I pick it up after it has been sitting motionless for awhile, Alexa announces that the remote is now connected to Bluetooth. I think this feature is intended to prolong battery life. Also, the volume control seems to have sufficient granularity to make small adjustments to the volume. I counted 30 steps from lowest to highest volume.
