      Great product!

      I have never owned a waffle maker and am not an expert in the kitchen. But, I wanted to try waffles for breakfast so read many reviews on various ones. I hit the jackpot when I ordered this Hamilton Beach wafflemaker. First, the waffles come out great (even my very first batch!)--big, thick, and cooked really well. The adjustment for how well done you want yours to be is very good, and the waffles really are done when the "Ready" light comes on. One of the best features, and one reason I chose this model, it that the griddle plates are easily removed to be cleaned and can even go into the dishwasher. That is a real plus and makes clean up a whiz. I really like the large tray under the griddle for catching drips and globs. It washes right off quickly, too. Greal product--works well and well ...

      Wonderful waffles made easy

      This waffle maker is easy to use and easy to clean. And it makes great waffles a snap. Follow the directions that come with the machine. Be sure to brush the surface of the non-stick plates with vegetable oil the first time you use them. This only needs to be done once. And I find that using non-stick spray on each subsequent use of the waffle maker ensures the waffles don't stick at all. Let the waffle maker heat up until the "ready" light illuminates and then add 1 cup of batter. Close the waffle maker and flip it over. I set the heat adjustment to "2" and have my waffles come out perfectly after about five minutes. Once the machine cools the plates can come out and go right in the dishwasher. I highly recommend this waffle maker for home use.

      Great buy

      This thing is awesome!! So far it's the same every time. Waffles are soft and brown, well cooked throughout the surface. I started spraying before each use like the directions say but I don't think I really need to, the waffles just come right out. I never write reviews but I am very happy with this purchase. Takes me back to my college days when I used to wear these out in the cafeteria.

      A little bit cheesey but the absolute best for the money.

      I would rather have bought a Breville waffle maker but at three times the price and after having used this one I can't see how the much more expensive Breville could have done any better job of cooking a waffle. This is waffle making, not rocket science. My Breville toaster oven is a different story. It is so much more useful and well designed than any other toaster oven that it was well worth the higher price. If you just want to make great, evenly cooked, Belgian waffles then the Hamilton Beach is a great choice.

      It made great waffles the first time out. I left the second waffle in about 5 1/2 minutes and it was perfect. I can't wait to try some different recipes. It is easy to use and easy to clean. Highly recommend.
