Excellent replacement
This is second time I have purchased this carburetor. The first time was a test to see if it was an acceptable replacement for the old worn-out original. This time I purchased 2 so as to have a spare as I do snow blower repair. Mainly the issues are ethanol fuel related, with internal parts corroding or getting algae buildup from excessive moisture caused by the ethanol. I only purchased the carburetors that have the adjusting jet on the float bowl nut. It has been my experience that the carburetors lacking this feature tend to clog more easily from fuel contamination. The price of this item is about one quarter to one fifth the price of a factory piece and is just as well made.This is second time I have purchased this carburetor. Looks good, hope it works
Have not installed it yet because old one is still working somewhat and is too cold to work on now. New one does not have the two holes for mounting throttle plate tapped out. Also new one has an extra spring loaded button on the bottom of the bowl. Original carb does not. I believe its for pushing extra gas into the carb for cold starts?

Everybody knows that small engine performance seems to degrade over time, but we don't always know why. I just replaced the carb on my old snowblower and couldn't be happier with the results!! Look at the price, then check out the quality of the product. Installation only takes 20-30 minutes and you're ready for another 15 years! Why fix it, replace it!
Great quality part. I honestly didn’t expect something of this quality which seems to be as good as the original part. At this price, it would cost you more to buy a kit for the old carb + the time savings alone make this a no-brainer. My snowblower starts faster, runs stronger, and idles better than it has since I’ve owned it.

This kit is the Perfect update for rebuilding an old engin
Perfect combination kit for an old engine update when doing a rebuild. An updated Electronic ignition very good product that works and so simple to install. I like the Carburetor to be truthful I did have to adjust the float level but that is not unusual with a new carb. I did not like the plastic float it did not have a metal tab you suppose to bend to set level. So I just used the old float. For the price of this kit and fast delivery I have no complaint.Perfect combination kit for an old engine update when doing a rebuild. I like the Carburetor to be truthful I did have to adjust the float level but that is not unusual with a new carb.
