Good replacement if your original pin connector is really bad.
The pin connectors would be fantastic if they weren't so tight. I had to use plyers to get my games out. If you decide to go this route I say leave a game in the pin connector for a good while before you install. Pull the game in and out and let it sit for as long as it takes to loosen it up. I recommend refurbishing your original pin connector. You can actually use a dental pic to bend the pins back into place. However, if that's not something you are willing to try then this is the route for you. It still works great once you get the pins loosened which is why I'm giving it 3 stars but not recommending.The pin connectors would be fantastic if they weren't so tight. This 72 pin connector is a tight fit. Don't recommend.
Bought this connector thinking all of my blinking light issues were going to be solved. Not the case. I installed this new connector into my vintage NES system for replacement to find that the game cartridges do not fit properly. You have to force the game into place in order to get a solid connection; and it is even more difficult to remove the game once installed. I suppose it is possible to use this connector if you really wanted to, but it can't be good for the long term wear and tear on your system. I don't know if all of this sellers pin connectors are this way, but based on previous reviews, that just may be the case. If you do happen to purchase one of these connectors, I highly recommend inserting a game into the connector before installing. If you are fighting the installation ... Do not buy this pin connector!
I'm repairing a NES for a school project, and I've repaired a few NES' before. I decided to buy I different pin connector than I usually do cause this one seemed to be cheaper but DO NOT buy this one. The pin connector is too large for it and doesn't fit right! It also made cartridge loader a living hell to pull off. And even worse, it doesn't play games! When I put in any game, it comes up a big glitchy jumble mess, no matter what I do.
