Knife steel is really soft will take off handle and try to heat treat. For the money you get a good looking knife and throw edge in a fire with no regret. Came fast and problem free transaction. Would buy from this honest seller again.

Great knife. The sheath wasn't quite as good as others in this line of knives that I have bought, but its intended for hard work outside...so, it doesn't matter that much

Shipped quick/received quick. 3 days early. Sheath was solid. Good stitching. Honestly the sheath was worth 12 bucks. If you're wanting an inexpensive spear point 'kephart' knife then this is the one. Dull as a healthcare seminar but, with some effort, sharpened up great. I like this knife. Historical. Feels good in the hand. Great little edc/utility blade. Sometimes its nice to have an inexpensive blade you dont have to worry about. Seller is 10/10. Good to go. For 12 USD I might buy another

    “Surprised Me”

I really wasn’t expecting much from this knife because of the price and time will only tell about that regarding holding its edge. I can say I was very surprised with what I received! It is one handsome knife. The built (if you like a hefty feel) is solid. Made with a thick tang and blade. The handle with brass pins is a very nice touch. It will made a great knife to baton kindling with for sure! I own Mora’s, Bucks, etc. and they are all great knives, but this one with it’s simple design, weight and feel, as said, surprised me! For what one gets for the dollar spent...it’s worth it. The sheath is very well made. That alone is worth it. I put a ceramic rod to the blade edge to clean it up some and that’s all that was needed. I know I’ll be regrinding to taper it off more as that’s how I ...

  • Heavy duty, but dull out of the box

Factory edge was essentially nonexistent, very blunt so much it seems they might have missed a step. Once I sharpened it it was great. Held an edge batonning, and feels good in my hand. Rivets do stick out a tiny bit on the handle. This is a heavy knife that should last a long time.

  • High Value Knife:

All aspects VG quality and comfortable to use. Owned mine several years and read when purchased it was a copy of a widely produced northern California gold rush knife. A substantial full tang spear point useful for cutting, splitting, slicing, digging and piercing. I still like these knives and you might too.

  • Pond stick up

The wood looks good. The blade is okay. But the pins that hold the grips in place aren't flush with the surface of the wood.
