Beware!...this thing is not an exact fit for a D Series John Deere 42" deck! Just replaced an OEM Deere model that fit perfect and this will not fit unless you modify the unit. Item should fit in the groove that runs on the outside of the deck, it doesn't. Waste of money and time.

Contacted directly and got told I bought last one in stock at $19 and it got lost in shipping or delivered to wrong address. Item now listed for $33.99 and if I want another one I have to pay the increased price. I have to question this. The honorable and RELIABLE thing to do would be to sell me another one at the original price of $19. But nope
