Good for truthful reference
If you're looking for solid background information about the production, scoring, casting and origination of Star Trek, as told by those involved with it hands on, this is a great little feature, including interviews with NBC executives who where there for the screening of the first two pilots and the guys who made the sets and scored the music. If you are looking for rare footage, behind the scenes photos, interviews with the actors, or clips from the series, this is not for you. Although I am a HUGE Trek fan of the Original Series, the only thing that seemed to be missing was still photos and maybe a few scenes from the series, or behind-the-scenes footage would have been nice. I still give it a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10 though, because of the great interviews with those who where actually ... It's an awesome tape
It's a tape that tells EXACTLY how the Original Series came to be talking about dealing with the networks, designing the interior sets and what the Original Enterprise went through the stages it took to get to the right design. Even the opening narration went through roughly 5 drafts before it was finished.

I've owned and read the book version of this work, and the video is just as good as the book. Solow and Justman did a fantastic job with the book! Both the video and the book are a must for any TRUE TREKKIE!
