Classic SciFi Madness!
What I love about this movie is the classic 70's scifi feel to it. The technology the terminology and the actors all show the feelings of 70's Scifi film without being kitsch and too sentimental. I decided to buy this because I remembered this movie as a child and didn't actually see it until the mid 80's on syndicated television where it was of course edited. I remembered the old days of MGM when they seemed like the unstoppable movie juggernaut. They put out some classic scifi films back then. Logan's Run, Soylent Green, Rollerball, Westworld, 2001 and Brainstorm all take me back to that time when it seemed like MGM ruled all.What I love about this movie is the classic 70's scifi feel to it. This movie freaked me out when I was a kid. Now that I've seen this film now that I am older, not sure why I was so afraid of but still creeps me out a bit. I see that this film is a bit dated and perhaps a little b-rated. Or maybe that it's the acting that's bad. Hmmmm. Well, it's still worth watching at least once. Me? Well, I bought the film and it just reminds me what I felt like when I first watched as a kid. Our obsession with machines coming to life and taking over. We have many films that brings this into our lives but this film is still one of a kind. Thus far, this type of film has not been reproduced thus yet but with Hollywood, you never know. Still, it's worth watching and if you like it owning a copy. I did but I had my own reasons. Go on, you know you want to watch ... This movie freaked me out when I was a kid. It was better when I was younger
Nowadays movies that are thrillers have more action in them. This movie is a classic in it's own right but a classic none the less. It is slow in some parts and drawn out in others. The only I bought it was because I saw it when I was little, it's okay to have now but I wouldn't go looking for it.
