    Saved me from throwing away my ULT2002D embroidery machine

    Without this item, I would have had to throw away my embroidery machine. Since the floppy drive and brother card reader stopped working, I had no way to use any embroidery designs and I have hundreds of them. Brother decided not to make any upgrades available for the ULT2002D and frankly, it made me angry. Buying a new, comparable machine would be very expensive. Just to be thorough, it is tricky to take the whole machine apart to replace the floppy drive. Thank goodness my husband helped me.

    Floppy Drive Emulator

    This product works well. Takes a long time to pull up designs on my machine but that may be because I have too many designs on my jump drive. I have purchased two emulators for my two machines and my sister purchased one. Floppy disks are a thing of the past so I was thrilled to learn of the Emulator. Taking the cover off the machine was quite a chore. I ordered on Saturday and it arrived by DHL on Wednesday. Great service.

    Works Great!!!

    I have a Babylock Ellageo that is originally equipped with a floppy drive. The floppy drive stopped working making the Ellago a boat anchor. I installed the emulator and now I send designs to my Ellageo from a USB flash drive (memory stick), and it works great. I bought an external floppy drive to read all of my old Ellageo floppies so I could load them on to my computer and now I just transfer them to a USB flash drive and plug it into the emulator.

    Is there a way to reset the emulator? It worked great for the 2 years I’ve had it, but recently stopped reading files on my USB. Can’t find any troubleshooting guides online. Thank you!

    Good solution to revitalize an older, but high quality machine.

    Well, I learned to take apart my sewing machine, so it got cleaned in the process. That is useful too. Accidentally disconnected a wire, took machine apart and put it back together a second time, and it works great. Good solution to revitalize an older, but high quality machine.
